Friday 19 March – Sunday 5 September 2021
With the days getting longer and warmer, come and enjoy the great outdoors at Harewood House this spring and take a moment to escape the everyday.
Harewood will be open seven days a week from 19 March, welcoming visitors back to enjoy beautiful surroundings bursting into spring life. Why not explore the Lakeside, Terrace and Himalayan gardens and spot the first signs of spring ?
In line with the dates to be re-confirmed by government, from Monday 29 March there’s no better place to re-meet friends and family as the rule of six comes back into play. We’ll also be welcoming back Harewood Food & Drink Project to the Courtyard Cafe, and on Monday 12 April the Bird Garden will once again re-open, as well as our Courtyard Shop.
Opening in mid-May, Together We Are, by graphic artist Anthony Burrill, launches a brand new circular walk taking in Harewood’s North Woods. Featuring six unique flag artworks, visitors will be able to enjoy the great outdoors and explore new areas now open to the public, taking in moments of mindfulness, set against the stunning backdrop of Harewood and beyond.
If you’re feeling adventurous, why not walk the Big Harewood Walk, a new circular walk which takes in areas of the site not usually open to the public. Visitors can take the three mile walk, which takes in three key areas of the site – the North Woods, the Southview and the Lakeside Tour.
Pop-up Play will be back after being such a big hit last summer with children and grown-ups alike. Harewood’s Woodland Wonderland, featuring willow mazes and tunnels by artist Leilah Vyner, will be nestled next to Harewood’s All Saints’ Church, opening up yet more of this beautiful site for people to discover and enjoy outdoor play.
