10am – 1pm
Do you have favourite plants at home that you would like to make more of?
Join our talented garden team for a morning of plant propagation with a focus on taking cuttings to make identical clones of your plants at this time of year. The class will take place in the Walled Garden where we will be demonstrating propagation techniques and discussing different plant structures, potting compost, tools, water needs, light levels and aftercare. We will be taking a walk around the site to look at different species that you can propagate in this way.
You will have an opportunity to get stuck in and have a go at using lots of different plant material so that you can see more closely how plants grow and what techniques work for each one.
No previous gardening experience is needed to attend as this will be an opportunity to learn from the experts and give you the confidence to have a go in your own garden. All materials and tools are provided.
The morning culminates in a seasonal lunch served at Terrace Tearoom.
Please be aware this event takes place outdoors. As the saying goes, ‘there is no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes’ – please come dressed appropriately.
Access to Harewood’s Grounds & Gardens are included in this ticket.
