Friday 15 July 2022
11am – 3pm
Join published author and artist, Pippa Pixley, for an exciting introduction to expressive floral painting using botanical inks, watercolour and gouache.
Learn tips and techniques for creating texture, movement, and fluidity. Create gestural pieces that reflect the natural beauty of the blooms, choosing your own flowers and foliage, creating a pleasing arrangement, and capturing it forever as bold strokes and splashes of colour.
Pippa will demonstrate how you can make your own signature watercolour paint using natural, eco-friendly media sourced from the gardens and grounds at Harewood House. She will also share tips on planting your own garden that will yield a rich palette of natural pigments. She will share with you her techniques for creating expressive, gestural and free flower paintings. This is a beautifully meditative and relaxing workshop as we immerse ourselves in nature, surrounded by intense colours and delicate fragrances.
A light lunch will be included in this workshop
