If you have tickets, you can find all the information you need for your visit here.

Father Christmas will be welcoming families for a cosy festive experience throughout November + December, settling in the Pastry Room Below Stairs to meet you and your children for an authentic, atmospheric and memorable encounter.

Small groups of eight children (and their grown-ups) will join Santa for half an hour, with a story, a chat with every child, a special gift and a family photo opportunity too. Everyone will feel the Christmas spirit among the twinkling lights and beautiful decorations in his rooms, making this an experience you’ll cherish.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I arrive?

Please ensure that you arrive at Harewood 30 minutes before your time slot to allow for car-parking etc. Please make your way to the Below Stairs entrance to the House 5 minutes before your time slot and follow the Father Christmas Experience signage. Due to the tight schedule, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate any latecomers.

We recommend that most visitors continue their visit around the House (including Long Live the Christmas Tree!) after their visit with Father Christmas. However, last entry to the House is 16:30, so if you have a later slot with Father Christmas, you may want to look around the House before your Father Christmas Experience.

The House will close at 17:30 (15.00 on Christmas Eve), with the car parks closing at 6pm (4pm on Christmas Eve).

Is this a group experience?

Yes, this year we have planned a group experience rather than individual family sessions. There will be 8 children in each session, and up to 2 adults per child. Following very high interest in Father Christmas last year we were keen to make more places available, and we are confident that this will a special, memorable experience for each family. Each session will be half an hour (compared to the ten-minute individual family sessions last year), every child will have the chance to speak individually with Father Christmas, and every family will have a photo opportunity in our beautifully decorated rooms.

Accompanying adults are responsible for supervising children in their group at all times.
