Join us as we take a summer’s walk around the historic Harewood Estate & take in the sights & sounds of the working farm.

Across your one mile walk you will have the opportunity to see Aberdeen Angus cattle & their calves, Highland cattle, Hebridean & Charollais sheep and their lambs. All with some fantastic photo opportunities.

There are also a significant number of wild animals across the Estate & who knows, you may come across a number of Roe deer during your walk in addition to Red Kite & King Fisher.*

Throughout your walking tour, your own Estate guide will provide you with information regarding the heritage of these animals farmed at Harewood, ongoing conservation efforts across the landscape, ways that sustainable farming has been implemented & the history of the Estate.

The terrain across the tour is predominantly paved, public bridleway however, you will have the opportunity to take a peek behind the scenes & gain access to private farm tracks & woodland. There are a number of steep hills we will tackle and with pavement to grassland underfoot sensible, covered shoes or walking boots are highly recommended.

What's Included in the ticket?

• Access to Harewood’s Grounds and Gardens as well as rarely seen areas of the wider Estate.

Useful Information

• The Estate Safari begins outside the Courtyard. Please park in our main visitor car park and make your way down the hill to the Courtyard.
• The walk provides you the oppurtunity to take in a variety of wildlife so it is always worth bringing along a pair of binoculars.
• Please note: sensible footwear is recommended. This is a two hour walk which includes uneven terrain and some steep hills.
• This walk may not be suitable for those with reduced mobility, please enquire before booking if you have any concerns.

Terms and Conditions

A 14 day cancellation policy applies to all walks. As commercial workshops support our charitable activities, and materials and equipment are ordered in advance, we regret that refunds cannot be offered less than two weeks before the workshop date should you wish to cancel your place.

Should Harewood House Trust need to cancel a workshop, your ticket will be refunded in full.
