Wednesday 4 August – Wednesday 1 September 2021
11am – 3pm

Free workshops every Wednesday throughout the Summer holidays!
Weds 4, 11, 18 + 25 Aug and 1 Sep 2021

Join the team from Leeds Mind this summer for a series of drop-in workshops, inspired by Anthony Burrill’s installation TOGETHER WE ARE.

You and your family can engage with the outdoors through a fun and exciting art activity called cyanotypes, or sun printing. Using organic materials and the sun you can create your very own piece of art.

Take inspiration from the positive messages flying on our Together We Are flags, make your very own printed flags, using the nature around us to create beautiful artworks.

TOGETHER WE ARE / WE ARE TOGETHER
GIVE HOPE / FEEL HOPE
LIVE WITH PEACE / LIVE FOR PEACE
HOPE FOR TODAY / TODAY FOR HOPE
JOY FOR ALL / JOY FOR NOW

What are Cyanotypes?

Cyanotypes, or sun printing, are one of the oldest photographic printing processes in the history of photography.  The fabric we will use is prepared with a special solution which reacts when exposed to UV light, so the patterns you create will be revealed when your piece is left out in the sunshine!
