This talk will take place every Sunday at 1pm until 2nd September.

Join our free talk with the Farm Team and discover more about chicken keeping during WWI. Learn why they kept chickens during the war, discover the different varieties we have here in the Walled Garden at Harewood, and learn the advantages of the different heritage breeds and which were best for egg production.

Do I need to book onto this talk?

There is no need to book. This is a free talk which is included within your Grounds and Garden ticket.

Where do I meet?

Make your way to the chicken coops in the Walled Garden for 1pm where you will meet our Farm Team running the talk.
