Sunday 5 August 2018
1pm – 3pm
Join Harewood’s Farm Manager, Nick Dowling, for an introduction to chicken keeping in your own back garden.
Nick will give an overview of the different breeds of chickens, and what type of chicken is best for your situation. You can learn more about the housing and space chicken keeping requires, key information about bedding, cleaning and healthcare, as well as what to feed them, and – perhaps most importantly – how many eggs you can expect to collect.
Bookings can be made online, or alternatively please contact our Visitor Experience Team on 0113 218 1000 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
This session is based outdoors in our Walled Garden, so please wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
This event is based in the Walled Garden. Please make your way round to the Walled Garden for the start of this event, where Nick will meet you. Access to the Walled Garden can be made via the Lakeside Path, or take a trip on our new Chain Ferry for easy access across the lake.
