This autumn, as part of our week-long visit from eight Tibetan monks from Tashi Lhunpo Monastery, we are holding a series of performances and workshops at Harewood.
Join us for a special workshop giving you an introduction to Tibet and Tibetan Monastic Culture, let by the Tashi Lhunpo Monks. The workshop will cover the following:
Founded by the 1st Dalai Lama in the 15th century and the seat of the Panchen Lama, Tashi Lhunpo is one of the most important monasteries in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. Now re-established in exile in South India, it is once again one of the major centres of Buddhist learning, famed for its artistic traditions, masked dances and sacred music.
Bookings can be made online, or alternatively please contact our Visitor Experience Team on 0113 218 1000 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Entrance to Harewood Grounds and Below Stairs is included within the ticket price for this workshop.
On arrival at Harewood, please park in the main car park, and make your way to the Entrance of the Courtyard for 1.50pm, ready for the start of the performance.
