Join us this Autumn at Harewood and discover our new series of specialist workshops, walks and tours. Discover the art of willow weaving, try your hand at modern calligraphy, discover the secrets of the Walled Garden, or take a tour around the Deer Park and learn more about the wildlife that surround us.

Curator’s Highlights Tour

Join Harewood’s Assistant Curator for a tour of the House with a special focus on a number of personal favourites from the collection. From masterpieces such as Chippendale’s Diana and Minerva commode and porcelain made for the French royal family, to lesser known treasures such as Princess Mary’s collection of ostrich feather fans, this session offers the opportunity to hop over the ropes and discover why the team are so passionate about Harewood’s collections.

Willow Stag Head Workshop with Leilah Vyner

An ideal decoration for all year around and a fun way to learn a new traditional skill. Willow weaver Leilah Vyner will teach you the art of creating sculpture from willow rods and the random weave we use to make large and small sculptures.

Head Gardener Terrace History Tour

A Storm at Harewood Family Walk with Heritage Corner

A Guide to Home Composting with Harewood’s Head Gardener

Join us for a stroll around the lakeside woodlands to the Walled Garden. Here you will be given a tour of the kitchen garden, where our Head Gardener, Trevor Nicholson, will talk about the ‘soil food web’ and explain how we grow our vegetable crops using reduced tillage or ‘no dig’ methods.
