Welcome Back

We’re delighted to share the news that Harewood’s Grounds, Gardens and Bird Garden will officially reopen to the general public on Monday 6 July.

The long awaited reopening of the gates gives you access to over 120 acres of Gardens, Lakeside Walks, the Harewood Bird Garden and open spaces to enjoy. We have been working hard behind-the-scenes to carefully plan and re-shape your visit to Harewood.

Unfortunately the House remains closed at this time.

From Thursday 25 June, Members will enjoy two days of Member-only access, and then priority access for the first week of opening. General public tickets will be available, but are limited until Monday 6 July.

It will be essential to book your visit online, as we are limiting the number of people who can access the site to ensure social distancing can be adhered to. You can book your visit from this Thursday 18 June and new slots will be made available each Thursday to ensure that as many people as possible can get to enjoy Harewood.

Your visit might look a bit different to begin with, we have additional washing facilities in place and the Courtyard Café will be takeout only for the moment. Sadly we also can not open any of the indoor spaces you might love for now – the House, Bothy, Curiosity Cabin and inside the café – but we’re working on the plans to get these ready to open as guidance and advice changes.

Our staff teams are really looking forward to your return, and we are asking you to play your part.

To keep standards of cleanliness and awareness high, we’re asking you to play your part in keeping Harewood safe for everyone and a really uplifting experience.
