This Christmas you will need to pre-book a timed ticket slot. Day tickets for Members and non-Member will need to be purchased online.

Timed ticket slots are set at 1 hour intervals.

Due to the nature of the installations int he House, booking is essential for all visitors, including members.

Do I have to arrive on site at the time my ticket is booked for?
Your timed ticket slot is for entry to the House only. You are welcome to arrive on site any time from 10am on the day of your booking. Please make your way to the entrance of the State Floor no more than 15 minutes before your booked time slot and visit the House within an hour of the time slot you have booked as shown on your ticket. For example, if your ticket is for 11am, please ensure that you visit the House between 11am and 12pm. We recommend visiting the House at around half past the hour of your booked timeslot for a quieter visit.

Will I have to print out my tickets or can I show them on my phone?
Visitors should show their tickets on their phone, and at some places they may be asked to share their name and booking number. To maintain social distancing, we’re asking visitors to avoid passing anything to our staff.

I’m a Member – do I still need to book?
Yes, Members are still required to book a timed ticket slot. There will be no extra cost to do this.

Do I need to reserve a ticket for my under 4 year old?
Yes, please do. You will not be charged anything extra.

I’m a Member and only want to visit the Grounds – do I still need to book
Yes, Members Grounds Only tickets can be booked online (Book here >>)

How will your booking system work?
All visitors (including Members) will need to book online – booking closes at 11.59pm the day before the visit.

How will people have to show their booking?
Visitors will be asked to show booked tickets through their vehicle window before parking, along with Member cards for Members. Those arriving on foot or bike will be checked at the same place of entry to cars and asked to keep distance.

What happens if people turn up on the day?
Visits should be pre-booked. If people do turn up and we have capacity on that day, they will be given the opportunity to enter, but it is not guaranteed.

How long can I stay?
There is no time limit on how long you can stay!

Will you be asking visitors to wear facemasks?
Under current guidance, we ask that visitors (except those that are exempt) wear a facemask in all indoor spaces, including the House, Shops, and whilst you are not seated inside our Café spaces. Visitors may wear face masks elsewhere should they wish. We will of course review this guidance closer to the time.

Can I take a pushchair/stroller around the House when I go to see Upon A Christmas Wish?

Prams and strollers not permitted in the House. Please note that as usual, prams and strollers are not allowed in the House because of the risk to our historic floors, carpets and furniture. Please leave prams and strollers in your car whilst you are visiting the House; any prams left elsewhere are left at your own risk.
