Developing Harewood’s retail offer in the Walled Garden
Harewood House Trust is planning to open a farm shop in the Walled Garden. The shop will be located in the eighteenth century Bothy, the original home to the gardeners of Harewood. This building is currently empty and will need complete internal renovation before the shop is fitted. Harewood are looking to commission an artist to produce a series of works to decorate the shop. Their brief is fairly open as they would like the space to be decorated creatively. The design will need to incorporate any signage for entrances and sections of the shop. Harewood are looking for an artist who will ‘think outside the box’ to design a shop interior that reflects both the history and heritage of the Walled Garden, and the modern day Harewood as a living, breathing Estate.
