Our Discovery Days are run in collaboration with the University of Leeds and are designed to provide an opportunity for Year 10 students to get hands on with art and social history.
Working with other schools, students will learn about key objects from the Harewood collection through hands-on research, using both primary and secondary sources.
Tours of the State Floor are followed by a session exploring rare and important documents from Harewood’s archives, not usually seen by the public.
Students will have the opportunity to test their critical analysis, research and communication skills culminating in an afternoon of public speaking, with all students given the chance to present their findings and thoughts from the day in the magnificent surroundings of Harewood House.
