Twilight Alpaca Walking Experience

Join our expert keeper on an ‘after hours’ Alpaca walk whilst taking in the breathtaking views of Harewood House, Grounds and Gardens. This experience gives you the opportunity to see parts of Harewood rarley seen by our visitors. Our keeper will take you on a 2 hour walk around the Grounds whilst we are closed to the general public, this really is an exclusive treat!

Entry tickets

The Alpaca walking Experience includes an entry ticket to enjoy Harewood House, Gardens and Grounds.

Individual bookings minimum of 2 persons per booking.

Individual (age 13 years and over): £80

Family Experience (2 adults and 2 children minimum age 7 years) : £160

*The experience lasts 2 hours

Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the Experience.

Tickets to Harewood or a valid membership are required in addition to this experience ticket, if you are entering Harewood before 5pm.

Terms & Conditions

When booking on behalf of another person, the individual making the booking and paying for the experience will have the overall responsibility for everybody within their party booking agreeing to these Terms & Conditions.

Payments

To secure a booking we ask for a full payment in advance.

All payments are non-refundable or transferable to another date – unless agreed by Harewood House Trust.

Cancellations and Refunds

All payments are non-refundable or transferable to another date.

If Harewood cancel your booking, i.e. if we deem the weather to be unsuitable or conditions too dangerous to trek, we will offer you an alternative date or a credit note for your booking.  In some circumstances we may give you a full refund.   This is the discretion of Harewood Management.

Health & Safety

Alpacas have the capability to kick, spit and bolt if distressed or frightened. The staff member delivering the experience will explain on safe handling and behaviour around our animals before the session begins, to ensure that the likelihood of this risk is significantly reduced.

The trek options require a moderate level of physical capability for you to be able to participate fully. We must be made aware of any medical condition or physical impairment which may affect your ability to participate. This includes; visual or hearing impairments and pregnancy. If you are unsure of your ability to participate, please discuss this with us and we can advise on the best option for you.

Participants of treks and experiences must be willing to listen and take instruction prior to handling the animals and during the treks and experiences.

The experiences are outdoor activities and involve the handling of animals. We ask that you dress appropriately, taking the weather and nature of the activity into consideration. If a participant arrives with inappropriate clothing or footwear for the activity they have booked, we reserve the right not to allow them to handle the animals or trek for reasons of safety.  A refund will not be available in these circumstances.

Age Restrictions /Bookings for Children

The individual experience has an age minimum of 13 years, for Health & Safety purposes.

Children must have reached the minimum age to participate in the experience. By paying for and engaging on your experience or trek, you are agreeing that any children booked on, on the day of your booking have reached the respective age and the relevant birth date for the option you have booked.

We cannot accept any children on the individual experience under 13 years of age, this includes babies.

We cannot accept any children on the family experience under 7 years of age, this includes babies

We cannot take children under 18 years old on any experience without and an accompanying adult.
