This enormous spiral was cut into the turf and sown by hand with 31 varieties of traditional meadow grasses and flowers – the planted area being close to 1,500 square yards. Visitors were invited to walk into the spiral along a turf pathway: approximately 600 yards to the centre and the same again out, a walk of nearly two thirds of a mile. Read more

Sir Sidney Nolan retrospective exhibition celebrating his 75th birthday. Sadly he died on 28th November 1992, less than a month after the exhibition at Harewood closed. So, this retrospective, with works from over 50 years of his career, was the last exhibition in his lifetime. Read more
