A Mahogany Secretaire Cabinet


Date: c. 1770

This mahogany secretaire cabinet on bracket feet, is attributed to Thomas Chippendale Senior, it has glazed doors in the upper part and four drawers below. The top drawer has a fall-down front forming a secretaire, the surrounding borders are carved with foliage and gadroons and are surmounted by a scroll cornice.
