As a charity with a core ambition that Harewood should be enjoyed by as many people as possible, we are delighted that during the November lockdown period, our Grounds, Gardens and Adventure Playground will remain open for our Members and visitors to enjoy and explore.
The following areas and facilities will continue to be open from 10am–4pm daily (last admission 3.15pm) with pre-booked tickets required:
Food & Drink
Horsebox Café
Situated in our Festive Hideaway, next to the carpark. Enjoy a creamy hot chocolate or why not indulge some buttery hot crumpets Horsebox Café. In its new location, the Horsebox is now serving a selection of hot drinks, cakes, snacks and hot grilled sandwiches.
Bothy Teahouse
A walk around the lake deserves a treat. The new Bothy Teahouse, next to the walled garden entrance, is serving a selection of hot drinks, alongside cakes, snacks and hot grilled sandwiches and soup. Our locally sourced Christmas gift food and drink is also available here to take home, selling our very own Harewood Greystone Gin, festive biscuits, chocolate and snacks.
In line with the government’s legislation, we will sadly be closing:
Christmas is always such a magical time at Harewood and 2020’s festive season will still be just that. Whilst we have had to make the difficult decision to postpone Lord Whitney’s Upon a Christmas Wish to next year, a Christmas at Harewood curated by our own in-house team will take its place as the charity looks to re-opening the House on 3 December. With a beautifully decorated House for all our Members and visitors to explore, we sincerely hope we can kickstart the festive season and look forward to the future. We also hope to be able to re-arrange our festive shopping weekends following lockdown.
If you have booked tickets for admission to Upon a Christmas Wish, or events during the lockdown period, please bear with us. Our team will contact you at the earliest opportunity and to explain the options available.
Please also bear with us as we fully update our website.
We are particularly grateful to our Members for their continued support, and to all who visit Harewood, ensuring we can continue to look after and share this wonderful place.
