Following the government’s latest announcement, which allows the grounds of heritage sites to remain open, Harewood will continue with our plans to reopen for our Winter Season, Fridays to Sundays from 15 January 2021.
We appreciate that outdoor spaces like the grounds at Harewood are important for people’s wellbeing, providing an open space for our local community and members to enjoy and use for outdoor exercise. As per the government’s guidelines, outdoor exercise should be done locally, but you can travel a short distance within your area to do so if necessary (for example, to access an open space).
The government guidelines also state that it is against the law to meet socially with family or friends unless they are part of your household or support bubble. You cannot leave home for recreational or leisure purposes (such as for a picnic or a social meeting). We ask that all visitors and members adhere to these rules and only use Harewood as a space for outdoor exercise.
The safety of our staff, volunteers, Members and visitors from the nearby community remains our top priority and we urge you to book your visits in advance, stay local and adhere to the government guidance at all times.
Booking is essential for all Members and general visitors. You can book your tickets here.
Harewood’s Gardens, Grounds and Adventure Playground will be open 10am-5pm Fridays to Sundays from 15 January 2021. The Kiosk and Bothy Teahouse will be serving hot drinks and snacks on a takeaway basis and Click and Collect is available for purchases made through our online gift shop.
In line with the government’s legislation, the below areas will remain closed:
• The House
• Bird Garden and Farm Experience
• Courtyard Café and Terrace Tearoom
• Courtyard Shop for browsing and on-site purchase
• Courtyard Area, including the Visitor Information Point
Thank you to our Members and visitors for your continued support at this challenging time.
