Harewood opens for weekends only from 7th November to 13th December
but there’s also a schedule of exclusive events to tempt you away from your weekdays.
Take time to find out what’s behind the scenes at Harewood or fine dine in State Room style, there’s something for every interest and pocket.
If weekends suit you best, Harewood’s stunning exhibition ‘The Horse at Harewood’ continues until mid December and, in conjunction with the exhibition, you can join in the weekend craft activities for children by making your own rosette with a voluntary contribution for materials.
Christmas events abound to help get you ready for the Christmas season or if you prefer the simple delight of fresh air, the grounds offer a variety of walks.

Monday 16th November 11am to 3pm
The West Attics - not usually open to the public, these unrestored rooms at Harewood will be open for this exclusive event. Combined with a private tour of the State Floor and lunch prepared by Lord and Lady Harewood’s personal chef, Danny Beecham. £60 (Harewood Cardholders £50) includes lunch.
Thursday 19th November 10.30am to 4pm
Christmas Decorations - Tour of the State Floor, look at decorative textiles and be inspired to make your own Christmas decoration £45 (HC £40) includes refreshments and a light lunch.
Friday 27th – Sunday 29th November 10am to 5pm
Christmas Craft and Gift Fair – browse over 80 stalls with something for everyone this Christmas in the covered Courtyard. Gifts, toys, jewellery, glassware and ceramics, crafts, cards and more! Prices on the day include entrance to Event, Harewood Grounds and Below Stairs.
Saturday 28th November and Wednesday 2nd Dec 10am to 3.30pm
Christmas Wreath Making – Make your own Christmas wreath under the guidance of award winning florist Gillian Gill, includes refreshments and a light lunch £48 (HC £43)
Sunday 13th December 2pm
Carol Service – Wrap up warm and join the carol-singing in All Saint’s Church, Harewood, with the Leeds Philharmonic Choir. Entry to the Carol Service is free to ticket holders and Harewood Cardholders.
Monday 14th December 11am to 3pm
Hidden Collections - Tour of the House with Harewood’s Head of Collections and meet some of the team of specialists who will reveal usually hidden away treasures. Lunch will be prepared and served by personal chef to Lord and Lady Harewood, Danny Beecham. £60 (HC £50) includes refreshments and lunch.
The Gardens, Grounds, Adventure Playground, Below Stairs, Terrace Gallery, cafes and shops are open at weekends until mid-December from 10am to 4pm. The Bird Garden closes at 3pm. Adult £5, Family £13.15, Senior £4.05 and Child £2.05.
