Saturday 1 July 2017
12pm – 3.30pm
First year students from the Northern School of Contemporary Dance will present a site-specific performance piece in the majestic grounds of Harewood House. Students, working under the direction of choreographers Anna Williams and Jane McKernan, will create a piece inspired by the culture, landscape and beauty of Harewood.
Harewood is a place of activity and lifelong learning, created by the generations of architects, artists, designers, collectors, gardeners, and the people who have lived and worked there. It’s a place for inspiration which aims to promote the understanding and enjoyment of Harewood as a place of historic and contemporary interest, so the perfect location for NSCD to showcase their talents.
There will be two performances, 12pm and 2.30pm, both of which the public are welcome to attend and are free for Harewood House visitors. Each performance will last around 50 minutes.
2.30 – 3.20pm
Please meet at the Terrace for the start time of each performance
