Join our award-winning Head Gardener, Trevor Nicholson, for an in-depth lecture on the history of Harewood’s Walled Garden. Discover the secrets of growing exotic fruits in the glass houses, and how the delicious figs and white peaches are grown in the Walled Garden to this day. Learn more about the development of the garden, from its beginnings in the eighteenth century, to its transformation to a contemporary art piece, and its current status as a working Walled Garden, providing produce to our restaurants and cafés.
Complete your morning with tea and coffee served in the Terrace Café, and take in the views of the beautiful Yorkshire countryside.
Your ticket for this event includes full access to Below Stairs and the Grounds, so you are welcome join us for the whole day, to explore the rest of Harewood during your visit.
Please make your way to the Below Stairs Entrance on arrival. Your day will finish with a tea or coffee in the Terrace Café, included with your ticket.
