Friday 4 – Sunday 6 July 2014
Be part of Tour de France history at Harewood House.
On 5 & 6 July, Yorkshire will host the first two stages of the 101st edition of Le Tour de France. It will be the first time Le Tour has ever visited the North of England.
As the peloton winds its way from Leeds towards the foreboding hills of the Yorkshire Dales on 5 July, the riders will pause in the grounds of Harewood. By then Yorkshire’s Festival of Cycling, which is running from 4 – 6 July, will be in full-swing.
A celebration of all things two-wheeled, the Festival of Cycling will offer a unique opportunity for anyone who loves cycling to be part of history at Harewood by experiencing the world’s greatest annual sporting event up close.
Alongside a packed schedule of cycling events we are inviting you to spend the whole weekend here celebrating Yorkshire’s moment of cycling history in style. The Big Sleep will offer camping, camper vans and glamping and an extensive EXPO will feature all the latest cycling gadgetry.
BMX and mountain bike courses will test your skill and nerve, a stage in the Entertainment Village will host celebrity interviews, educational debates, an array of music and comedy talent, cycling demonstrations and, of course, a giant screen showing 2013 Yellow Jersey Winner Chris Froome, sprint-king Mark Cavendish and all the Tour de France action live as it unfolds. As if that’s not enough, we’ll have some of the finest food and drink for you to enjoy.
