“You’re entirely bonkers. But I’ll tell you a secret, all the best people are.” – the Mad Hatter
This summer, Harewood House and grounds will come to life with fun activities inspired by Lewis Carroll’s classic novel, Alice in Wonderland. The Victorian story is well loved (including by Queen Victoria herself) and characters including Alice, the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter and the March Hare will become part of our free family activities for you to enjoy.
Spot the characters around the beautiful lakeside path in an exciting child-friendly trail, enjoy a game of croquet by the flamingo enclosure, and make your own Mad Hatter’s Hat in the Courtyard.
Inside the House, there will be a white rabbit eye-spy trail, as well as family friendly talks about clocks, drinking tea, mock turtle soup and more.*
*Selected activities will be taking place on the State Floor and will require a Freedom Ticket.
