Harewood House is ideally located for studying geographical themes.
Our extensive grounds provide the opportunity to develop geographical skills, knowledge and understanding.
Studies can be made of Harewood’s landscape and its human and physical features, and how and why these have changed through time.
Our most popular sessions focus upon environmental change, its causes and the effect this has on the world and its wildlife using examples of bird species living in the Bird Garden.
Other areas of study such as rainforests and habitats are complimented by our interactive and informative, Big Bug sessions. Suitable for all ages these sessions provide your class with the opportunity to meet, learn about and safely handle our collection of tropical invertebrates.
Our geography focussed sessions can be individually tailor-made to support your current study programmes or simply provide a fun interactive and informative learning experience.
New sessions are being developed please contact us if you can’t find what you require.
You will find detailed information on our school trips page or you can download the brochure or call 0113 218 1043 to discuss your geography focussed session at Harewood.
