    School Trips

Harewood is visited by over 7,000 school children on a school trip each year, making it a top educational attraction. We offer sessions for all ages ranges included Early Years, Primary, Secondary, 6th Form, FE and HE, University, ESOL, Adult Learning and Family Learning.

    Opening Times

The details of opening times at Harewood vary with the seasons. We are often able to accommodate schools and colleges outside normal opening hours. For example by prior arrangement your class can visit the House before it is open to the public, between 9.30 am and 12.00 pm.

    Prices and Discounts

We offer schools and colleges special discounts on general admission. Prices are as follows (Weekdays only):

Pupils £4.50 each . Workshop sessions £1.50 per pupil
1 adult free per 10 pupils
    (extra adults £6 each)

For full booking details please download our Education brochure, call the learning team on 0113 218 1043 or email us.

    On-site Facilities

Facilities include coach parking, lavatories, cafe, children's book and souvenir shops. Unfortunately, we are at present unable to provide a room or covered eating area for children to use for their lunches. There is, however, plenty of outdoor space and picnic tables to use within the grounds. Find out more about eating and shopping at Harewood.

Most of the site facilities are wheelchair-accessible. More detailed information about access is available. Please download the Harewood General Health & Safety Guidelines.

    Special needs

We welcome pupils with special needs. Talks and Tours can be tailored to suit your requirements. The public areas of the House including Below Stairs and most of the site facilities are wheelchair accessible. More detailed information about access is available. Please contact us to discuss any particular educational needs.

    Free planning visit

Teachers and other educators are invited to make a free planning visit to Harewood. Please contact us for your complimentary ticket, we reserve the right not to grant free entry and may request proof of your planning. There is no need to pre-book unless you would like to make an appointment to meet with the education staff, to help plan your trip.

Please contact us before you make detailed plans or book transport. This way we can confirm availability of rooms, staff, and so on to support your visit.

    Making a booking

To discuss making a booking you can either call the learning team on 0113 218 1043 or return the downloadable enquiry form to us by email. Please download the Harewood General Health & Safety Guidelines for information.
