Harewood House has developed some new resources for use by learners studying ESOL, course providers and tutors.
As well as supporting ESOL learners to develop their language skills in a real setting, engaging in learning at Harewood House can support the development of social skills, citizenship, appreciation of diverse cultures, community cohesion and emotional health and wellbeing.
• Background Information for Tutors
• Before visit materials for students
• During visit materials for students
• After visit materials for students
The resources have been mapped onto the adult ESOL core curriculum and are primarily aimed at Entry level 1 to 3 students although many of the resources are differentiated by outcome and can be used for higher levels.
Harewood House staff have developed a tour specifically for ESOL students which takes into account different levels of learner. You can book and ESOL tour for your students by contacting the Learning and Access Department on 0113 2181043 or via email.
On arrangement with the Learning and Access Department (and subject to the availability of funding) visits for groups of ESOL students are free.
