Made in 1773 for the State Dressing Room, invoiced 1773 Nov 12 and described as “A very large fich Commode with exceeding fine Antique Ornaments curiously inlaid with various fine woods & Drawers at each End and enclosed with foldg Doors, with Diana and Minerva and their Emblems Curiously inlaid & Engraved, a Cupboard in the middle part with a Cove Door, a Dressing Drawers in the Top part, the whole Elegantly Executed & Varnished, with many wrought Brass Antique Ornaments finely finished £86 – -“.
